We believe in the team approach and consult with a wide array of experts in accounting, business, financing and insurance whether the matter is transactional or litigation in nature. History
The Hopp Law Firm took its current name in 2006 but its roots began over thirty (30) years ago. In 1995 Robert J. Hopp graduated from the University of Denver, College of Law following a short but diverse career in engineering and business. Mr. Hopp practiced before the courts and in transactional matters building clientele and forming the focus of the practice today, a commercial law firm focused on resolution through excellence. During the growth of the Firm, senior attorneys were added to ensure that the practical, business oriented resolutions were backed with sound legal basis and years of experience.
In 2001, two seasoned and respected attorneys joined the practice driving its roots deeper. James H. Downey and Larry G. Johnson joined the Firm bringing with them several decades of transactional and trial experience extending the history of the Firm as it stands today. From the beginning, we have aspired to be the best and have passionately adhered to the guiding principles of excellence, service, dedication to our community and our families, and a willingness to take roads less traveled. With careful attention to our business and protection of our culture we have grown and now service clients throughout the Rocky Mountain Region applying the vast expertise of our attorneys and staff. In 2006 The Hopp Law Firm took a new step in its growth and evolution by introducing two new entities, The Hopp Law Firm, LLC concentrating on commercial transactions and litigation and Robert J. Hopp & Associates, LLC focusing its representation on lenders and servicers in the mortgage default industry.
In early 2008 the continued growth of the Firm and its clientele caused the Firm to begin opening brick and mortar offices throughout the Rocky Mountain Region leaving the Denver, Colorado offices to serve as the company's headquarters and center of operations. Today, The Hopp Law Firm has local offices in Midtown Manhattan, New York; Phoenix, Arizona; Las Vegas, Nevada; Cheyenne, Wyoming; Salt Lake City, Utah; Albuquerque, New Mexico; and Clearwater, Idaho.
Our philosophy is one of thoughtful and deliberate growth to serve our clients’ needs and not simply growth for growth’s sake.
